Dear Family,
Well hello everyone!!! Guess what? We baptized the hermana (mother) Ponce and she is so excited. I'm so excited for her! She made the best choice in her life and she loves the church. Wow, it's such a testimony builder to see these people change their lives completely. Ah, it makes me so happy. This whole family only has three people left. Two of the sisters and the Dad, but here pretty soon, I'm sure we will baptize the Dad. He has really warmed up to us and always comes to talk to us. He goes to sacrament meeting with his wife so it is just a matter of time till the spirit touches his heart also. Gosh, I'm so excited for this family. I feel like they are my family because I was here to baptize five of them so far and soon to be six, I'm sure. I'm very happy here guys. The time seems to fly faster and faster. My companion only has one more week then he goes back to Nicaragua then I have to train another guy in my sector for the 5th time. I'm pretty tired of doing that but who knows, maybe I'll be the senior companion or something. That will be a nice change even though none of my companions have taken advantage of me being the junior companion other than Retuerto, but, he's trash anyway so I don't really count him as a companion. He was just a pre. Man for my mission.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it will be a good one:) I love you lots sis:)
So this week it has rained so much we are basically soaked every day, but we are warm so it doesn't matter. Wednesday it was raining so hard and in 20 minutes there was 10 inches of water. Every road was full to the top with water overflowing. It was super crazy because it was the hardest rain I have ever seen in my life. It's like God opened up a giant fire hose above and turned it on. I've never seen that before in my life. It was cool. All the Ponce kids went running out and playing in the 'river'. It was really fun to watch.
Oh, also today, my companion and myself got to leave the sector and go see some cool stuff. I'll send pictures but it was cool. We went to a lighthouse that has 444 steps to the top of a mountain where we had to take another 50 steps to the top of the lighthouse. It was super cool and I got pictures of allllll of Guayaquil. I also got some Ecuador things. (p.s. I pulled 50 dollars out of my account to get some things but used only $15). I feel bad using that money but I feel I'll only be here one time in my life. Maybe once more in the future in a few years. But some really cool authentic things. Oh, also the head of an iguana which I will send you a picture of. It is real. I can open the lips a little and see the teeth. It's pretty cool.
Oh also, I got packages and letters this weeekkkk yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I got 14 Dear Elders and tons were from Josh and Liz. I really want to hear from them but I literally don't have time to read all of them. I have such a short amount of time. I got Sarah's package with tons of beautiful pictures of her and Utah and I got a sweet package from Jen with food. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
Well, I love you all so much but I love being out here so much also. I'll see you all in 17 months:) I love you guys:) LOVE ELDER PROFAIZER
P.S. I sent a letter to the house with letters for Mom and Dad, Jaiden Crook, Cade Woodland and Jaiden Jardine. Hope it gets there soon. I sent them today.
