Two Baptisms

Nov. 26, 2012

Dear Family,

Well this week hasn't been too shabby. We had 2 baptisms and we completed a family. The boys Mom was a less active lady. She used to be the Relief Society President back back back in the day till she had troubles in her life and gave up on church when her husband died. We found her when we were out contacting and reactivated her. Her boys got baptized and she is now working to receive her endowment. Wow, how awesome.

The zone is still low but we have a few ideas to get it up. I'm pretty stressed and sometimes I feel like at this time in the mission, I'm just grinding each day away with a small nail file but I'll make it through. The Assistants to the President are pressuring us a lot. I hope we get the numbers up.

I sent a letter today to you guys that has a note for my school records permission. I hope to study business when I get home and I hope you guys put me in spanish classes so I can just get a lot of easy credits and so I don't lose my spanish.

Today we finally have a real p-day and no meetings. I hope to go home, eat and sleep haha. I'm missing a lot of rest. When I get home, I'm gonna sleep for 3 days straight:)

Thanksgiving was normal. We didn't even remember it was thanksgiving until our mission leader called us to say Happy Thanksgiving. We didn't eat anything so next year I hope there is a feast! It was so nice to see all the pictures. The family is getting sooooooo big. Wow! I can't believe it. Kolter is huge, haha wow!

Love you all so much.

Love,

Elder Profaizer

How are you Guys

November 19, 2012

Dear Family,

How are you guys? Well, this week has been a stressful one. My new zone is called Pradera-Huancavilca. I have 20 missionaries. A little bigger than the last one but a lot more stressful. President is pushing us a lot to lift this zone up which is a good thing. It will help us. The last Zone Leader here was trunky and the zone hit the floor. But we're gonna get it back up. Again, there are some missionaries who are lazy which I totally don't understand. If you're going to come on the mission, WORK! If not, GO HOME! But I guess that's their own problem. We ended the week with 6 baptisms. That was cool and we hope to have 6 more this week. Thanksgiving is coming soon but they don't celebrate it here in Ecuador. Friday, I went on an interchange to my first sector, Huancavilca. It was cool to see my converts and the members. Guess what? I now have two babies named after me! Paula Ruiz who got baptized right after I left also named her baby Matthew just like the Ponce family did:) haha, I love it. WOW! That makes me so happy. I stopped by the Ponce home for a couple of minutes. It was a little bit heartbreaking but it's ok I guess. They have kinda fallen away a bit but I visited them and pumped them up to get back on the bike and go back to church.....they said they would.

Well, speaking of college, Wow I can't believe it. Organize my classes like I need to get graduated but if you can put me in some business classes, that would be good. I really feel I want to have my own shop still. I would like to live in Snow Gardens again but if you could send me a list of the housing complexes and prices so I can think and choose, that would be best. I don't mind living near BriAnna, whatever, haha, I doubt I'll see her much anyway. It's funny how little I saw Sarah and Hailey when I was down there in 2010. Gosh that was 2 ½ years ago when I started. That's crazy! It's amazing how fast time flies.

I feel very happy with what's going on right now. I feel good with how things are working out at home and how things are here even though it's quite stressful sometimes. God Helps ME so much daily! I pray for Energy, I get it. I pray to know what to say to people, and I get it. God Lives and Loves us. Next week, I'll send some more recordings. I'm happy you got to hear it. It's easier to do that than to keep a journal also.

I love you guys lots, Love Elder Profaizer

P.S. Don't send me anything big for Christmas. As much as I would love it, I can't do the same thing I did last year. That was a mess, I love you guys lots. Maybe just $30 in my account and I'll buy some good food or something. Love you guys lots:) CHAO!!!

Three Day Conference in Machala

November 12, 2012

Dear Family:)

Hey everyone, well this week was great. We went to Machala and had conferences for 3 days. We found a great new family and they accepted to get baptized at once. It was so great. They went to church and they had a great experience. We have a few families that are going to get baptized but sadly, I'm getting transferred. Tonight I'm headed back to Guayaquil :( I love Loja, it's been a dream of mine my whole mission to come here but I believe that God knows what he's doing. I think that I'm going back to ZONE Huancavilca but as the Zone Leader this time. Well actually, 2 whole stakes. That will be a lot of pressure but I think I can handle it. I already have a good relationship with the Stake President there. Before he lived right in front of our house and fed us weekly. Haha, we will have success there!

My new companion is going to be my old companion from La Chala, Elder Curtis. He's half crazy but in a good way:) We also had a mission activity Saturday and the Ochoa Family went. There were about 200 people there. What a success. We also did a skit of the first vision in the zone and I recorded it but it's too long to send. I guess you'll just have to wait.

Guys, can't believe I only have 7 months left. I remember only having 7 months out! AHHHHH I feel sad sometimes but that's alright. It's God's Plan.

I love you guys lots:) Elder Profaizer
