Dear Family,
Well, this week has been exciting.
Sorry for not writing on Monday. We didn't have a p-day because they
locked us up in the house for Carnival. It's a South American party
that is Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. They have a nationwide water
party and ink, mud, oil and anything else you can think of is thrown
anywhere and everywhere, so they locked us inside. This week,
Carlota de Jesus got baptized and yes, I did baptize her with the
right arm to the square....we noticed this the other day in the
picture and we have got to talk to the zone leaders to see what to
do. But I don't know what they can do because Roberto blessed the
sacrament Sunday and got the Priesthood. Ooops....well, God is
understanding but we still better see what we can do about it.
At 10:00 Sunday night we got a sad
call saying that Elder Poret is being transferred. We had to go to
the station at 2:30 a.m. To drop him off with 5 other missionaries
from our zone. It was sad. I love that guy. He was a great
companion and will be a successful missionary. I was able to pick up
a cheap harmonica a few weeks back and I played to the departing
missionaries, “God be with you till we meet again” It was funny
but sad. My new comp is from Argentina and has only 11 weeks in the
mission. He has the fire that I had when I was a new missionary.
With my old age in the mission some of that fire has been lost but
it's good he keeps me going.
So a couple weeks back I sent some
letters, have you gotten them? Let me know. I love you all so much.
I hope to hear from you all soon.
Love Elder Profaizer
